Text 4 Feb 9 notes Hey God! Come Watch Me Sin

You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

-Psalm 90:8


You cannot hide your sin from God. We often feel as though God cannot see our sins because other people cannot see our sin. That is not the case. God can see exactly what we are doing. As a matter of fact this Scripture says that our secret sins are in the light of His presence. You remember when you were little and your Sunday School teacher would tell you that “God was everywhere” and that He was always watching? Well at some point we forget the truth of this statement. We feel like as long as no one knows what we are doing then God doesn’t know either and that we will be ok. We feel like we don’t have to repent because God doesn’t know. But He does. We are not simply sinning in some remote place. We are sinning in the presence of God. We have to remember to repent so that God can remove our sins from us and remember them no more. We cannot fool God. He

  2. southrnbird said: God is always watching. I see repentence as recognizing that youve sinned and repenting but learning from your mistakes and try your hardest not to repeat it again. Like fornication. It’s hard to be abstinent but it’s necessary unless ur married.
